The greatest hindrance to unconditional love is the ego ... it sees someone approaching, with whom you have a history of problems ... it starts to panic and go into protective mode ... it'll do anything to stop you getting hurt again.
Unfortunately, because you might not be paying full attention to it, your ego can whip up quite a storm while trying to 'protect' you.
The trick is to be aware of ego from the start ... and not to allow it to take over. Like an excited child, tell it to sit down and be quiet. That way, ego will discover that you can handle these situations easily ... and it was all a storm in a teacup.

This amazing stone of the day is Peridot:

Peridot emits a warm and friendly energy.

It can be used to magnify the inner aspects of any situation or circumstance. It furthers the understanding of those changes which are occuring in ones life and assists one in the recognition of the detrimental patterns which have been the basis for impariment in attaining that which is necessary for growth.

It can be used to cleanse and stimulate the heart and solar plexus chakras, bringing openeness and acceptance in the intellectual pursuit of matters of love and relationships.

It also helps to regulate the cycles in ones life; e.g., physical cycles, mental cydcles, emotional cycles, intellectual cycles, and life cycles.
