Today's Stone of the Day is Citrine! :


"Citrine is one of the two (there are actually 4-5 now) minerals on the planet which does not hold and accumulate negative energy, but dissipates and transmutes it, working-out problems on both the physical and subtle levels. It hence, never needs clearing or cleansing.

It has also been reported that citrine is one of the stones to be called the "merchant's stone"; placing a cluster or a crystal of citrine in ones cash box has produces more income for the merchant. It not only assists the merchant in acquiring wealth, but helps to maintain the state of wealth.

This mineral is useful for balancing the yin-yang energy and for aligning the chakras with the ethereal plane.

It activates, opens, and energizes the navel and solar plexus chakras, directing, via personal power, creativity and intelligent decisiveness, the energy necessary to enhance the physical body. It stimulates both mental focus and endurance.

It emits an elevated energy which provides one with supplemental initiative coupled with emotional balance. It stimulates the intuitive self and promotes contact with the higher forces of intelligence.

It also illuminates the energy of the root chakra, delivering both comfort and optimism. It can help one to dispense with the fundamental level of fear. It further promotes a radiance from within the self, culminating in a constant happy disposition. It brightens even the darkest corner of ones perceived reality, and helps one to "laugh without restraint".

It is quite efficient in conveying, when necessary, information relative to the appropriate aspects of survival.

It also allows for clarification of problems related to the realms of intellect and emotions.

It influences, in a positive manner, the areas of education, business pursuits, and interpersonal relationships. It is an excellent stone for smoothing family or group problems and, subsequently, producing cohesiveness within the associative members. It acts similarly to the cutting edge of a sword, penetrating problems and expediting solutions.

Citrine, especially in the faceted form, stimulates the crown chakra, allowing for synthesis between the intellect and total perfection; it is, therefore, quite helpful in problem solving, for facilitating recognition of resolutions to mental conundrums, and for promoting mental awareness on a moment-to-moment basis. It is said to stimulate openness and to accelerate the wakening of the mind.

It is an excellent stone for clearing the aura and for aligning the auric body with the physical structure, diminishing the "muddy" areas in both the aura and the physical body. It can act to stabilize the emotions, to dispel anger, and to encourage one to "look to the sunrise", the freshness of beginnings, and the reality of excellence."
